The Allen-Bradley 1794-IE12 is a Flex I/O high-density analog input module. It provides twelve single-ended input channels. You can configure each channel for 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, ±10 VDC, or 0 to 10 VDC signals. The module uses successive approximation conversion with 16-bit resolution. It achieves an absolute accuracy of 0.1% full scale at 25 °C. The conversion rate is 8.0 ms for all channels. This module supports both voltage and current input types. It also features a quick step response of 0.09 seconds for faster signals. The standard step response is 1.3 seconds for general use.

Use the 1794-IE12 to interface with analog field devices. Common applications include transmitters, indicators, and recorders. It also works with single-loop and multi-loop controllers. Install it in industrial process control systems. The module operates in harsh environments with vibration up to 5 g at 10 to 500 Hz. It withstands operating shocks of 30 g and non-operating shocks of 50 g. The operating temperature range is -20 to 60 °C, and storage temperature is -40 to 85 °C. It mounts on a DIN rail using terminal bases 1794-TB3G or 1794-TB3GS. The keyswitch position is 3 for correct installation.

Installation & Maintenance Guide
Install the 1794-IE12 onto a compatible terminal base. Ensure the keyswitch is set to position 3. Secure the module to the DIN rail. Use the correct wire size as determined by the terminal base. Connect the external DC power supply within the 10 to 31.2 VDC range. Verify the LED status indicator shows green for normal operation. This module has an open-type enclosure, so protect it from contaminants. Perform periodic checks for dust and loose connections. No field calibration is required.
