The processor handles analog and digital I/O efficiently. It works with 8-point, 16-point, and 32-point modules. It is suitable for batch control and continuous processes.
Technical Specifications
The module uses 48 Kilowords of user memory. A battery backs the static RAM. The maximum I/O capacity reaches 2048 points. You can configure it as 2048 inputs and 2048 outputs complementarily. The analog I/O capacity also reaches 2048. The I/O scan time varies with baud rate. At 57.6 kbits/s, the scan time is 10 ms per rack. At 115.2 kbits/s, it is 7 ms. At 230.4 kbits/s, it is 3 ms. The maximum number of I/O chassis total is 61. The module includes one RS-232-C/422-A/423-A port. It has a Control Coprocessor expansion port. The backplane current draw is 3.3A at 5V DC. The typical scan time is 2 ms per K-word. The bit logic scan time is 0.5 ms per K-word. The module weighs 1.42 kg. The enclosure type is open style. The module withstands 30G operational shock. It resists 1G vibration at 10-500 Hz.

Installation & Maintenance Guide
Install the module into a 1771 I/O chassis. Ensure the chassis power is off. Align the module with the backplane connector. Push it firmly into the slot. Secure the module with screws if needed. Connect the ControlNet cable to the RJ45 port. Use the mini-DIN connector for programming. Configure the network update time between 2-100 ms. Use the 3-pin DH+ port for peer-to-peer communication. For hot backup, use the 1785-CHBM cartridge. Maintain the module in a clean environment. Keep the temperature between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. Humidity should be 5-95% noncondensing. Check the battery backup periodically. Replace the battery when needed. Use only qualified personnel for maintenance.
