Product Overview
The 1771-IFE is an analog input module from Allen-Bradley. It works with PLC5 programmable logic controllers. You can use it in any 1771 I/O chassis. This module gives you sixteen single-ended or eight differential input channels. Each channel supports voltage and current signals. You can choose ranges like 1 to 5V, 0 to 5V, -5 to +5V, -10 to +10V, and 0 to 10V for voltage. For current, options include 4 to 20mA, 0 to 20mA, and -20 to +20mA. The module uses 12-bit resolution with an extra sign bit for bipolar ranges. It converts analog signals to digital data for the PLC processor.
This module uses block transfer programming. It handles communication with the PLC processor. If input communication fails, the module responds automatically. It uses the default user configuration. This gives a predictable and safe response. It limits the extent of any fault. The front panel has a green RUN light and a red FAULT light. Optoelectrical isolation protects system circuits from electrical noise.

Application Scenarios
The 1771-IFE is ideal for measuring process variables. Common applications include temperature, pressure, level, and flow. Other uses cover speed, viscosity, turbidity, pH, vibration, and displacement. Any parameter that can be represented by voltage or current signals works. You can use it in industrial automation, manufacturing, and process control. It fits well in legacy PLC5 systems. It offers flexibility with multiple input ranges. You can configure it for single-ended or differential inputs. This makes it suitable for both simple and complex applications.
