Product Overview

The Allen-Bradley 1771-ID is an isolated input module from the 1771 product bulletin. It provides six 120VAC/120VDC isolated input channels. Each channel requires a nominal input current of 8 mA at 120 VAC and 8 mA at 120 VDC. The module mounts to any 1771 I/O chassis. It uses the 1771-WD field wiring arm for connections. This module has individual channel isolation. It allows each channel to operate at different voltage ratings if needed. The 1771-ID is designed for use with float switches, limit switches, pushbuttons, and selector switches. Input filtering improves power quality by limiting effects of voltage transients. Installation & Maintenance Guide

Install the 1771-ID in any 1771 I/O chassis. It occupies one slot. Use the 1771-WD field wiring arm. Key the module between positions 4 and 6 and between 28 and 30. Tighten wiring arm screws to 7-9 inch-pounds. Use 14 AWG copper wire with 3/64 inch maximum insulation. Ensure backplane current does not exceed power supply capacity. No maintenance is required under normal operating conditions.
