Installation & Maintenance Guide
Install the controller into a 1771 chassis slot. Ensure the backplane power is off. Connect the appropriate power supply (1771-P4S, -P6S, etc.) to the chassis. Attach the 1770-XYC battery to the controller for memory backup. Configure the communication ports via software. Set the I/O addressing mode using the switches. Operate within 0-60°C and 5-95% non-condensing humidity. Avoid exposure to shock or vibration beyond the rated limits. Replace the battery when the low-battery indicator turns on. Use only genuine Allen-Bradley replacement batteries.
