Product Overview
The 1794-OA8I is a Flex I/O digital output module from Allen-Bradley. It offers 8 isolated outputs for 120V AC loads. Each output delivers up to 500 mA. This module links PLC logic to field actuators.
Application Scenarios
Use the 1794-OA8I in distributed I/O systems. Connect devices like contactors, solenoids, and pilot lights. It works with ControlLogix and CompactLogix controllers. Typical industries include automotive, food processing, and material handling. The module handles high inrush currents for inductive loads.

Installation & Maintenance Guide
Insert the 1794-OA8I into a compatible terminal base. Use bases like 1794-TB3S, 1794-TB2, or 1794-TB3. Set the keyswitch to position 8. Wire the isolated outputs to even-numbered terminals. Connect 120V AC power to odd-numbered terminals. Use common terminals for each output device. The module mounts on a DIN rail. Align the base over the rail and push to lock. Use slow-blow fuses rated 1.6A, 250V AC for protection. Green LED indicator shows active output. Maintain airflow around the module. Keep ambient temperature within -20°C to 55°C.
