Product Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1766-L32BWA is a MicroLogix 1400 controller. It offers 32 digital I/O points. These include 20 inputs and 12 relay outputs. The inputs split into 12 fast 24V DC and 8 normal 24V DC. The relay outputs handle various voltage levels. This controller integrates three communication ports. One combo RS232/RS485 port supports isolated communication. One RS232 port provides additional connectivity. One Ethernet port enables modern network integration. The controller runs on 100-240 VAC power. It includes 20 KB of user memory. A built-in real-time clock supports time-based control. The 1766-L32BWA supports up to seven 1762 expansion I/O modules.

Application Scenarios
This controller suits machine-level automation. It also works for small process control. The Ethernet port supports DNP3 and MODBUS TCP/IP. This makes it ideal for substation automation. The RS485 port can connect up to 32 MODBUS devices. Use it for power meter integration. The ASCII protocol reads barcode data in factories. The high-speed inputs handle fast switching at 100 kHz. This controller fits applications needing reliable sequencing and monitoring.
